Shammi Kapoor passed away at 79 in Mumbai

Mumbai, August 14: Old time super hero, actor and director Shammi Kapooer (79) died after suffering a chronic renal failure today. Shammi was admitted in Mumbai’s Breach Kandy hospital for the treatment. He was a one of the prominent lead actors in Hindi cinema industry during the late 1950s and 1960s with many hit movies in his kitty.
His first film in Bollywood is in 1953 Jeevan Jyoti, and went on to deliver hits like Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Junglee, Dil Tera Diwana, Professor, China Town, Rajkumar, Kashmir Ki Kali, Janwar, Teesri Manzil, An Evening in Paris, Bramhachari, and Andaz and Vidhaata
Shammi Kapoor born on 21st October 1931, in a Punjabi Khatri family and his father also a famous film and theatre personality Prithviraj Kapoor,
Shammi was the second of the three sons born to Prithviraj and the other two being Raj Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor all of them, like their father, successful Bollywood actors.
